It was an encomiumic moment as the deputy Governor of Osun state, prince Kola Adewusi stormed the palace of Oonirinsa yesterday, 15 th March, 2023 as he campaigns for Olumide Fatunmise that is aspiring to represent his constituency at the Osun state house of assembly.
In his speech, he appreciated the chiefs for supporting him as an Ife indigene and his party during the Gubernatorial and the presidential elections and promised not to disappoint them.
He further said he is also on the soil of the palace today to introduce Olumide Fatunmise who intends to represent Ife east at the Osun state house of assembly. To my fathers, I’m here today to solicit your support as a prince in Ife land and as your son to please support him so that I can have mouth infront of my boss, Governor Ademola Adeleke when requesting for the development of Ife land. As we all know, if we don’t have majority in the house, things will be very difficult as said by Prince Kola Adewusi.
Chiefs who spoke at the meeting include, Ibile, Lowa Ate of Ife, Obaloran of Ife, Jaaran of Ife, Obajio of Ife and seemingly spoke in line with the development of Ife land.
While making their speeches, the chiefs noted that all parties and their respective candidates are sons of Adimula, therefore, the meeting is not to orchestrate fight or conflict among the candidates but rather to engineer the development of Ife land. They thanked the Deputy Governor for organising the meeting.
Equally, they informed the Deputy Governor that they have been collecting half salary since 2015 that he should please look into this. They prayed for the OSHA candidate of PDP and advised him to always work towards the development of Ife land if he eventually emerges.
The Lowa Adimula of the source, High chief Dekola Adeyeye who presided the meeting explicitly commended the Deputy Governor that they have seen their hands in the completion of Oniyangi to Okeatan road and they still expect more as Ife is lacking behind in the area of good road, employment for learned and non learned, complete payment of salary of the traditional rulers, free hand to work at the forest reserve, power supply particularly that the local government has not paid the electricity bill of the palace for the past 8 years. Therefore, he pleaded with the Deputy Governor to look into all these matters.
He further prayed for Olumide Fatunmise and advised his political team to do house to house campaign in the bid to tell the people what he will do for Ife if he eventually emerges. As chiefs, we will continue to pray for you but don’t forget the development of Ife if you eventually emerge said by high chief Adeyeye.
Other dignitories at the meeting include the traditional secretary of the source, Mr Idowu Salami and all the head of the departments of the palace.
