The Stakeholders of PDP in Ibarapa East have collectively supported the nomination of the 29 years old Wasilat Adefemi Adegoke as the Commissioner Designate for Oyo State Ministry of Youth and Sport.
In a brief media chat with Voice of the masses, PDP chieftains in Ibarapa East who prefer to remain anonymous said the youthful nomination has been widely supported and greeted with Ecomimum in Ibarapa East.
Clearing the air on the circulated rumor that another person has been nominated from Ibarapa East, the anonymous Stakeholders said Voice of the Masses should ask the people in charge of the rumors whether we now have two Governors in Oyo State. They said the Elected Governor of Oyo State has spoken by nominating an intelligent, young, educated and a well informed active Youth who have what it takes to coordinate the affairs of Oyo State’s Ministry of Youth and Sport. Therefore, any other nomination apart from Wasilat Adegoke remains Null and Void. Therefore, they use the opportunity to communicate to the public that they should disregard any news that is contrary to the Nomination of Adegoke Adefemi Wasilat. They said.
Equally, the stakeholders used the medium to appreciate the Executive Governor of Oyo State for consulting the Stakeholders of Ibarapa East widely before the nomination which depict inclusivity, a promise he made during the Campign period.
Voice of the Masses also unofficially met another high ranked source who preferred to plead anonymous but works at Oyo State House of Assembly. The anonymous worker of Oyo State House of Assembly confirmed that the name of Adegoke Wasilat has been sent to the House and the House will reach out to her for the submission of her Qurriculum Vitae for proper documentation soonest.
Adegoke Wasilat Adefemi, a 29 old lady who is a graduate of Statistics from the Polytechnic of Ibadan is a native of Elegun compound Oke Otun, in Lanlate.
She served as the State PDP Ex-Officio between 2018 and 2021 which according to the source made her the most suitable for their adoption following her active involvement in the electioneering period that elected Governor Seyi Makinde in 2019.
