Mr Adeyemi Adelowo, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman, Ife Central Local Government, has said that his party would rule the state for the next 20-year, for APC has ruled for 12-year, so they should go and rest for now.
Adelowo made the statement during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday, in Ile-Ife.
While reacting to the judgement of Supreme Court that affirmed Senator Ademola Adeleke as Osun Governor, said was happy and it’s celebration galore for their party.
According to him, that’s what they are expecting, adding that the citizenry had been enjoying the dividends of democracy since this administration has taken the mandate.
Adelowo stated that since the Supreme Court has spoken, the indigenes should expect better governance from this adminstration.
The Party Chairman emphasised that the incubent governor has started well by making the masses happy even before the judgement.
Party Chairman assured them of continuity of paying workers and pension salaries, good road, portable water,healthcare services, standard education among other infrastructure.
Also, All Progressive Congress(APC) Ife Central Party Leader, Hon Olusegun Fanibe, said that it’s very very unfortunate that they lose at the Supreme Court over governorship tussle.
Fanibe said that this would serve as a lesson for the party members, though the cases are meant to be won and lose.
He attributed their downfall of the party to the mistakes committed by the members, especially those that have unforgiving spirit that fought the party to this point.
According to him, the party have a good, competent, hard working, good manager Governor, who has tried all his best to take the state to his promised Land, but it’s very very unfortunate.
Fanibe condemned the selfish interest of some leaders who impose non-competent candidates over members for one post or the other which led to the failure of the party.
He appealed to party members especially the elders forum to call for reunion, ensure everything go on merit and enough of oppression and imposition within the party.
