While addressing the media at his polling unit, the former senator representing Oyo south in Oyo state confirmed it that the act of low electoral turn out might be as a result of the fact that some persons engaged in violence a couple of days before the elections and with violence, people would definitely run for their dear lifes even though the election was going on peacefully.
Explaining the effects of the scarcity of naira on the low turn out, the Okanlomo of Ibadan noted that people would have to transport themselves to their poling units and even, some possibly would have to take snacks and drinks while on the cueue. All these things definitely require the usage of naira said by SOJ
He further said as a close ally of Asiwaju, if people can still remember that in one of the campaign interviews that he attended for inorder to mobilise for Asiwaju, he told the people of Oyo state to keep their old notes and pray that Tinubu should emerge.
